Nourish
A collaborative recovery experience for healing your relationship with food, body, and self.
Healing from disordered eating is about so much more than food.
It is about rebuilding trust.
Trust in your body.
Trust in yourself.
Trust that nourishment can exist without guilt, fear, shame, or constant negotiation.
At Choose Happy, we recognize that meaningful recovery may require more than traditional weekly therapy alone.
Nourish was created to provide a more supportive, collaborative, and intentional approach for individuals seeking additional structure while remaining appropriate for outpatient care.
Note : We are accepting prospective clients for our Nourish program while this program is currently being developed.
What a Typical Journey May Look Like
Every treatment plan is individualized according to clinical needs, goals, readiness, and the recommendations of the professionals involved.
A typical Nourish journey may include:
-

Phase One: Building Foundations
Comprehensive assessment
Individualized treatment planning
Weekly individual psychotherapy
Recovery-focused support
Initial consultation with a Registered Dietitian
Collaborative goal setting
-

Phase Two: Strengthening Recovery
As recovery progresses, treatment may include:
Continued psychotherapy
Nutrition support
Body image work
Exposure-based interventions when appropriate
Family involvement when clinically appropriate
Medical collaboration with physicians or nurse practitioners
-

Phase Three: Moving Forward
As confidence and stability increase, care gradually transitions toward an individualized maintenance plan designed to support continued recovery and long-term wellbeing.
Our Philosophy
Recovery is not built through perfection.
It is built through compassion, consistency, curiosity, and support.
At Nourish, we explore the relationship between food, emotions, body image, relationships, nervous system regulation, perfectionism, and self-worth.
Rather than focusing only on changing eating behaviours, our goal is to help individuals develop a healthier and more trusting relationship with themselves.
-
Nourish is designed for medically stable adolescents (12+) and adults who may be experiencing:
Restrictive eating
Binge eating
Emotional eating
Chronic dieting
Body image concerns
Food anxiety
Weight and self-worth concerns
Repeated cycles of dieting
A desire for more structured support than traditional weekly therapy
-
Sometimes weekly therapy alone doesn’t provide enough structure.
Nourish offers a more connected approach while remaining flexible and individualized.
This allows clients to receive coordinated support from professionals working toward shared treatment goals.
-
One of the strengths of Nourish is its multidisciplinary philosophy.
Depending on individual needs, provider availability, clinical appropriateness, and consent, care may involve collaboration with:
Registered Psychotherapists
Registered Dietitians
Nurse Practitioners
Psychiatrists
Family Physicians
Other members of the client’s healthcare team
We believe meaningful recovery can be strengthened when professionals communicate thoughtfully and work toward shared goals.
-
Nourish isn’t simply a program.
It is a thoughtfully designed treatment experience.
One that recognizes recovery takes time.
That progress is rarely perfectly linear.
That setbacks can be part of growth.
And that healing becomes more sustainable when people feel supported rather than judged.
What would become possible if food no longer occupied so much of your mind?
Nourish was created to provide a more supportive, collaborative, and intentional approach for individuals seeking additional structure while remaining appropriate for outpatient care.
